INSTALLATION
The PR-12.1 is strictly intended for use in cars, trucks, boats and similar vehicles.
The device must be installed under the bonnet, at a reasonable distance from the engine. Connect the PR-12.1 to 12V-DC power. Once this is complete, the status LED will begin flashing green. This indicates that the installation has been carried out successfully and the unit has entered normal operation mode.
Please note that the PR-12.1 emits frequencies which are outside of the human audible spectrum. Therefore, it is normal not to be able to hear the device at all times. If the unit is interfaced with the ignition of the vehicle, it will automatically be switched ON and OFF accordingly. In case an external switch for the unit is placed on the dashboard, it should be switched ON everytime the car ignition is switched OFF.
Please ensure that the ‘Power ON’ switch on the PR-12.1 unit itself is switched to the “ON” position at all times. The ultrasound emissions, produced by the repeller, will be reflected from the hard surfaces under the bonnet of the vehicle and will form a ricochet pattern, covering the entirety of the control space. Please keep the PR-12.1 away from water at all times.
